Tenn-Tom and Tennessee River To Do 2002

No day to day stuff!!

HELLO ALL STATIONS, HELLO ALL STATIONS, HELLO ALL STATIONS

We were delayed in leaving Patterson for our Tenn.-Tom Waterway and Tennessee River trip due to Hurricane Lili ! ! In fact the broad showed up on the projected date of departure. The power was off in Patterson so we had to empty the refrigerator and freezer at home , this while trying to get the last of the supplies and clothes on board. The power came on literally as we were walking out the door.

Trip to the East. New Orleans Print E-mail

For our winter sojourn we elected to head east and circumnavigate Lake Ponchartrain. Our first obstacle was the railroad bridge in Morgan City. A few days before the trip I absently checked the US Army Corps of Engineers website and found that it would be closed to navigation from 8 am – 2 pm for 3 days commencing with the day we planned to leave. We left a day early. On the way to New Orleans we stopped at Pat’s favorite East Bound ICW anchorage at 20 WHL. It is good, Lake Salvadore, 9 feet of water, and only yards off the ICW. Last, but important, an easy start to transit the Mississippi River and the locks.
