Dennis and Megan VanBeest     20 November 2008 17:33 | Bay City Michigan headed for Mandeville, LA
Meg has been on boats her entire life. Her father was a tugboat designer and builder in Conn. I have been sailing for 8 years on the Great Lakes with a 27 and 30 Sail and now a 34 Marine Trader Pilot House. Great boat and equipped like a freighter. We will be taking the TennTom to LA in early 2009. Taking advise on how to do it from anyone brave enough to offer their experience and knowledge.

Charles and Pat - been wondering where you are and how things are going. We are finally back to normal here in Slidell - ever get a chance to stop by, we have a dock ready and a spare bedroom!

Very good information. We sailed our 25 foot Hunter from Lorain OH to St. Pete in 1999. What a great time. We totally enjoyed our cruising and want to continue once my wife retires in 2 years. We would like to buy a boat designed by Ed Monk 36 or 38 ft.

Ed Chmiel     16 September 2008 22:12 | California
Ed here, former CHB owner and CHB list associate. I hope all is well and continued fair winds and seas for you. Always really appreciated your contributions to the boating community, esp CHuBbies. If I were buying a boat, this would be tops on my list!

Hey Uncle, Well...you just never know where I will pop up! I am sad for you regarding the sale of your vessel. I sympathize and hope one day I enable myself to empathize with your current situation.

We met on the dock or the Grand Mariner a few years ago. You gave help to a fellow mariner, Dean Evans who was heading up river to Demopolis, Al. I keep up with your cruises and info.

Enjoyed reading your accounts. I,(Jerry) thought I wrote funny narratives to friends. I fail to hold a candle to "The Wife".

Very nice job done on the website! Very informative for those of us with limited trawler experience. Thanks for all the work!

By the way...Happy Birthday (tomorrow) to Pat!
